Shanks - Frank

Frank Shanks, an older brother of John W. Shanks, died in St. Theresa hospital, Waukegan, Ill on Wednesday. He has been a resident of that place for many years, following his trade of decorating and paper hanging. He was the son of Harvey & Sydney Ann Shanks and was born in Crawfordsville 75 years ago. When he was a boy the family moved to Waveland, where he grew to manhood, learning his trade from his father. Besides John W. Shanks there is another brother, Charles in California, and a sister, Elizabeth, whose whereabouts are at present not known. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made. John W. Shanks and Frank, Jr. went to Waukegan this morning. -- kbz
